 Junior Infant Applications

The closing date for applications for Junior Infant places for Sept. 2007 is Wednesday February 7th.
This is the date for all Junior Infant applications whether from parish, family or outside the parish.  These applications will be processed and replies sent out by the end of February.  If you have changed your address since your original application, you must inform the school, in writing, of the new address. Until we have written confirmation of your change of residence, all post will be sent to the original address as on your application form . If your child is quite young and you wish to defer your application until 2008 please contact the school also.

Mobile Phones

A reminder that old mobile phones may be recycled in the school. They are sent to the Jack and Jill Foundation. All phones to Ms Sheehan in Room  7 please.

Sports Equipment Tokens
We have decided to collect the Supervalu tokens currently being given out. Just like last year, this will be a low-key collection. There is no pressure on any child to bring in these tokens but if you have them we would be delighted to receive them.

Music

The RTÉ nationwide crew visited the school yesterday to film various musical items. This is in conjunction with the IAYO concert in the National Concert Hall. The A Orchestra have been invited to perform at this concert on Feb 3rd  at 3pm and the 5 minute Nationwide slot hopes to give a flavour of the Instrumental Music Programme. It is due to be broadcast on January 31st.

We hope that 2007 will be a happy and successful year for all of us, in school and at home.
