Parents’ Association

After much work and research by the Parents’ Association, the new tracksuit for Sept. 2008 has been chosen. It is similar to the ones which were displayed last term. Pauls on High St. will continue to supply the tracksuit. We will keep you informed as to when they will be taking orders for September.

School Grounds

  1. The bed at the front of the school is being refreshed at the moment. We are grateful to the group of parents: Helen Doheny, Anne Marie O’Neill, Tom Ryan, Eddie Power, Benny George, Sarah Phelan and Ken Prendergast who helped in clearing and preparing the bed last Saturday.

Mrs Delehanty and her 4th class look forward to planting it after the midterm break.
Please do not walk or run through the shrub bed.
By keeping to the path and hard surface in this area, we can give the plants and delicate                   shoots a good chance to grow and flourish.

  1. The Board of Management and Parish are jointly funding the replacement of the gutters and down pipes on the hall. We are waiting for a starting date from the company engaged.
  1. The Board is also researching options with regard to the wild area at the end of the school yard on the Freshford Rd. side. Improvements in this area along with the work on the hall should also alleviate the flooding which occurs there.
