National Childrens’ Choir

Congratulations to all our 5th and 6th class pupils who sang so beautifully in St. Canice’s Cathedral. These concerts take place every two years and we are delighted, as always, to be involved in this nationwide collaboration. A total of nine schools from the Kilkenny region took part. Eighteen of our students have been invited to sing in the National Concert Hall on June 11th.
Thanks to Eamonn Cahill’s pupils All that Jazz who entertained the audience with their interval act on Thurs. Night and our own flautists and violinists who did so on Friday night.

Gairdin na Scoile

Mile buiochas to all who helped in the garden on Sat. 28 April.

Sports Tokens
A total of 12,500 Supervalu tokens were collected in the school. Thanks to all who contributed. As the general P.E. stock is quite substantial at the moment, the tokens will be used for equipment for the Special Class.

The boys narrowly lost the County finals of 7-a-side to Freshford last Friday.
Our three teams in the leagues are progressing well.  A few matches have yet to be played before knock-out placings are decided.
In the class leagues, 4th and 5th have qualified for the finals. Teams from 2nd, 3rd and 6th are still in contention.

The A camogie team finished very strongly in their group with only one defeat when they lost to Freshford by a single goal. They are now in the knockout stages of Roinn A and play Piltown in the quarter final this evening in Piltown. Go n-eiri an t-ádh leo.
B panel have a play-off against Clogh on Wednesday.
