.Book Lists
We revisited our arrangements regarding books last year and have decided to make some changes for this year. There will be no Alive O books, Earthlinks books or English readers listed on the book lists as the teachers have adequate copies to cater for everyone. If individual teachers have enough copies of any other particular book they will also leave those off the list. Where books such as Mathemagic etc. can be bought second hand, the teachers will make arrangements for the children to have the opportunity to do so. Cost will be kept in mind when drawing up the book lists.
Green Flag
Mr Crowley, Ms Gannon, Amy McGourty and Michael Mullan travelled to Tailor’s Hall in Dublin last Tuesday to accept the Green Flag on our behalf. It is a great feat to have achieved Green Flag status for a third time and congratulations to the Green Committee and all who worked so hard to achieve this. We will have a flag –raising ceremony in June.
Photos
Edward D’Arcy will be in the school next week taking photographs. You should have a separate note regarding this. There is no pressure on anyone to have a photo taken and even if you do, you are not obliged to buy a photo you are not happy with.
