Traffic
The Parents’ Association are organising a traffic survey. The new fence will be erected shortly which will help parents dropping off their infants. In the meantime please remember that the bus bay must be kept clear mornings and evenings until the buses have left. Nobody should be double parking and/or abandoning their cars in the playground. Consideration from all drivers would greatly help the traffic flow.
Walking bus
A walking bus led by Malcolm Noonan leaves the Butts Green (telephone booth) at 8.30 approx. every morning. If anyone is interested please contact Malcolm.
Resource teachers
If anyone has CD Roms with material that children have grown out of, the resource teachers would be delighted to accept donations.
Mission Money
In September, €200 was given to Sr. Helen who works in the Phillippines. In October, €900 was collected in aid of the Niall Mellon project which funds the building by Irish people of houses in South Africa.

Gairdín na Scoile
Thanks to all the parents who volunteered to help in the garden for this coming school year. A rota has been drawn up.
Our pumpkins and vegetables will be harvested tomorrow by the children. If you have any ideas on enhancing the garden please let Ms O’Brien know!
Comenius Project
The theme of this year’s Comenius project is ”Story telling” and all the classes in the school have made a great effort to participate. Stories about Irish legends, local festivals, happenings at home and creative stories about everything and anything are being told in every class. We are putting some of these on DVD to preserve them and to share them with our European partner schools.
