 8pm: 6th Class Parents R.S.E. meeting

First Communion: 11.30am –   May 4th  Ms O’Mahony,     May 11th Ms Tallis,                                         May 18th Ms Kelly.

Thursday 15th  2.45pm Closing date for return of ballot papers for election of parents’ rep. to Board of Management. Public counting immediately afterwards in Doom 17.

Parent Teacher Meetings
This year our Parent Teacher meetings will be on Nov. 29th. You are invited to meet with class teachers and resource teachers on that day. You will receive a sheet from your child’s class teacher regarding times. Teachers will co-ordinate times as far as possible. Please remember that this is a short meeting only. If something arises that needs lengthy discussion, the teacher will make a further appointment to meet you. If there is an issue that you know already will take time to discuss, let the teacher know and again a meeting can be arranged. Apart from these meetings, you are welcome at any stage to make an appointment to see your child’s teacher.

Shoe Boxes

We now have 553 shoe boxes filled with beautiful gifts and toys for needy children in Croatia and Belarus. Sr. Brigid would like to thank all parents who sent in these lovely shoe boxes. The money collected €2,480 will help cover costs in “Operation Christmas Child” All shoe boxes will be on display in Room 17 from 9.30 tomorrow. The army will collect them on Friday at 10am.

Gairdin na Scoile

A new sign was made by wood craftsman P.J. Ryan from Freshford for our garden. We appreciate his lovely work.
Thanks to parents, Tom Ryan, Pauline Carroll and Noreen Breen who volunteered to work in the garden for the month of Oct.
Bulbs have been planted by Mr Hanrick, Ms Tallis and Ms Doheny’s classes.

Sports

Congratulations to our Roinn A footballers who won their semi-final against Gaelscoil in a tense match in St. John’s Park. The date for the final v C.B.S. has yet to be finalised and we will let you know when we have it. Please support our team on the day.

Used Clothes Collection

As per usual at this time of the year, we will host a used clothes collection. Your child should have a flyer about this. Bagged clothes may be left in to the First Aid  Room any day next week. Monday 19th to Friday 23rd.

Credit Union

Credit Union has resumed for 5th and 6th classes . Lodgements taken  every Wednesday.
