Summer Uniform
Pupils may now wear their summer uniform. This consists of the red or white polo top plus red/white/grey/navy shorts/three-quarter lengths. Please stick to these colours as we do not want any fashion competition element introduced. Skimpy, overly short, shorts are inappropriate school wear. School tracksuit may still be worn and full school uniform will be needed for any formal occasion.

Eyes & Ears Testing
Pupils in Juniors and 6th are due for testing. Forms have been sent out. If you received a form please make sure it has been returned. Clinic will be here on 5 days in June.1st, 10th, 11th, 15th, & 18th.
6th class will have a talk on Bone Formation and Health on June 14th.

Green Flag
Well done to the 350 pupils who walked to school on Wednesday 19th. If at all possible we encourage you to walk as often as you can. The walking bus from the Butts Green operates every day.
Our next official WOW (Walk on Wednesday) will take place next week on June 2nd. Three walking buses will leave from the same points as last week: Butts Green, Greensbridge and Talbot’s Gate. All parents and children welcome. You will be reminded next week.

Parents’ Association
There is an update on the Summer Fair on the sheet accompanying this one. Please lend your help to this as it is a great day out and the funds are badly needed for the Interactive Boards.

Uniform Sale
The Parents’ Association has decided to run a uniform sale where you can sell or donate any uniform your child has grown out of and then buy another one. They will circulate details of the date and how it will be run, closer to the time. It will be on towards the end of June.
Drugs Awareness Programme
This programme took place during the year in 6th class. John Leahy will present certificates to all the participants tomorrow. The Knights of Columbanus will present individual and class prizes for the projects completed by the 6th class students.
Music
Maytime Melodies was a fantastic success. Congratulations to everybody who contributed to making it such a special occasion.

Sport
Mr Hanrick has circulated the list of the swimmers representing the school in the inter schools gala.
6th class teams will participate in the Africa Cup Soccer tournament tomorrow.

The B hurling team was knocked out of both the Tommy O’Brien Cup and the Championship in their past two matches. They had a great season and can look forward to a good run next year again.
A team are still progressing through the rounds.
The A camogie panel had a hard fought win over St. John of God in the Roinn A Quarter final. The semi final has yet to be arranged.
Class leagues are continuing and proving very competitive.

Used Clothes Collection
The next collection takes place on June 17th 12 noon. Clothes may be left in the First Aid room that morning.
