Parents Association
SCHOOL SUMMER FÊTE

Dear Parents!

The Parent’s Association are currently organising this year’s School Summer Fête which will take place on Sunday the 29th of May from 2-5pm. Last year’s fête was hugely successful, raising over € 6,000 and helping to fund the purchase of interactive white boards – we now have an interactive board in every class in the school thanks to your support!

This year we hope to raise funds for the school’s building project including a new purpose-built autism unit. We also hope that this event will prove to be a very enjoyable social event for all the children and their families and other members of the community. Everyone is welcome!

How Can You Help?
We need to ask for your assistance with regard to prizes for the raffle, the wheel of fortune and “win a bottle” stall. If you could donate a prize we would be very grateful. Examples of prizes would be: a bottle of wine/spirits, box of sweets or biscuits, new toys, vouchers, fragrance set, any unwanted gift – anything that would make a good prize for either an adult or for a child. Please leave your donations as soon as you can with Bernie or your child’s classroom teacher.

We will also require and be very grateful for saleable second-hand books, toys in good condition, bric-a-brac, CDs or DVDs for a stall. If you have any such items that you wish to donate to the fête, please leave them, again, sooner rather than later, with Bernie or your child’s classroom teacher.

Perhaps you have an idea for a stall that you think could work well and that you could organise yourself. If so, please let us know!

We will be appealing for donations of cakes or cookies on the day – we will send a reminder of this nearer the time.

Lastly and very importantly, we will need volunteers on the day! Could you please spare just
one hour on the day, to help on stall or help with the games and activities? If so, we would be delighted if you could call or text:

Gráinne Timmons: 086-3859206/ 056-7770284
Caroline Farrell: 086-2616519/ 056-7800674

Many thanks for your support,

The Parents’ Association.
