| For the last number of years the school has participated in the Samaritan's Children's Christmas Project. Anna Byrne, co-ordinator of the Kilkenny region talks to the children about the difference they can make to children in Eastern Europe at Christmas. Then the children fill a shoebox with presents for their less fortunate peers. The army comes every year to collect the decorated shoeboxes. This year we gave 570 boxes to the project. What a wonderful achievement. Well done to all the children in St Canice's and to Sr Brigid who co-ordinated the whole project in-school. |
